This chip, originally issued in 2011, was re-ordered in late 2023, in a quantity of about 900 chips ($4,500 face value) and released in January 2024 by mixing them in with the 'float'. The original issue is on the left and the 2024 re-issue is on the right. They seem to be identical, including UV tagging.

This is a notched sample of the 1st issue, 1996 $1,000 chip. It was pulled from use within the first 2 months of operation because the similar coloring (green) of $25 chips was causing issues at cashier's cage. Indications are that there are no known examples of the original version. According to Executive Management at The Orleans, all were destroyed. While "all" cannot be validated, it is known that some did go through a destruction process (pulverization) as small pieces have been recovered from a destruction services company.
