Originally owned by Joe Yeargain and Harry Ludwig. It was a ten table cardroom, making it one of the largest on Post Street. It was the last surviving card room of the many that inhabited Post and Market Streets in downtown San Jose. See San Jose Gambling (2020) Ted Ramos.

Yeargain previously owned another"Joe's Club" (1950-1961), a card room in Sacramento.
