Originally a Country Western bar with live music and a dance floor. Dice game gambling arrests were made there in 1973. A licensed five table card room was added by 1977, and likely several years before that. It was bought by Jay Tucker in 1978. Sometimes called "Nashville West Casino". Nashville West became the "River City Casino" in 1991, also owned by Tucker (see "Became") (see "Archive" for details).
Jay Tucker was dubbed the "King of Sacramento County Card Clubs" by The Gambling Scene magazine. He also owned the "Embers" (Sacramento) and the Nashville West Card Room #3 which became "Tex's Saloon Card Room" in North Highlands.
C. W. Rice shipped the HHL-mold "NW" chips in 1974 and and L-mold chips in 1976 to the Nashville West Club, 5420 Auburn Blvd., Sacramento.
TTSS Enterprises Inc. was the name of Tucker's incorporated business that owned his card rooms. It is possible that these ”T.T.S.S. Ent.” chips were also used here. |
